What it does today
- Fast PDF viewing with annotation tools.
- Page operations: merge, split, reorder, rotate.
- Form filling and digital signatures.
- Text editing where the PDF structure allows it.
Where it is rough
- Deep content editing (re-flowing complex layouts) is limited - true of every PDF editor, but Acrobat still goes further.
- OCR quality is serviceable, not class-leading.
- Preflight and print-production tools are minimal.
Who it suits now
The 90% PDF workload - review, annotate, sign, reorganize - is covered today for free. Legal/print prepress specialists should evaluate their edge cases.
